not a lot to say on RT/CS tbh it's a human heavy episode and those are always a little underwhelming but I did enjoy it. garnet carrying Steven on her hair LOL
Keeping It Together
- This one fucked me UP. Fucked me up but also made me feel the WHOLE System for the rest of the day. Which was fantastic tbh.
- I FUCKIN LOVE GARNET SOBS 5EVER
- Pearl is yet again a service sub and put her name on the entire chore wheel because she's fucking ridiculous
- "I'm not unfusing for laundry" omg somehow this gives me lots of hope that she WILL unfuse later for a more suitable reason
- Peridot is too well animated, her voice is too good and full of character... She's a permanent character. 100% convinced. She probably gonna become a Crystal Gem omg
- If that happens then this show really IS IRREDEEMABLY DBZ and Peridot is Vegeta

- GARNET BEING SCARED IS REALLY REALLY FUCKING SCARY
- The fucked up forced fusion thing was HORRIFYING just. As a plural but also as one of those amazingly good subtle metaphors. Yet again we reiterate gem fusion isn't sex but yet again we have similarities. Garnet talking to Steven about consent. [god i love this shoooOOOWWW] Garnet choosing to live as a love fusion, being suitably horrified when Gems - not just Gems but CRYSTAL Gems, her FRIENDS probably - are forced together nonconsensually. It's a twisted perversion of a natural, pure, intimate connection between two Gems. No one asked them if this was what they wanted. And on top of that, these Gems were BROKEN. Dead, buried and reanimated. So yeah. Horrifying for anyone but ESPECIALLY for us as a System because we totally see where Garnet's coming from. :S
- the Gem fusion monster seemed to... know her. Seemed to on some level recognize her. It didn't harm her at all. It just held onto her, touched her and looked at her. She almost split apart from horror and panic and disgust, not from any attack it was making on her.
- body fucking horror everywhere thank YOU for the reminder that this super duper cute cinnamon roll tv show can be fucking TERRIFYING when it wants
- The Ruby and Sapphire conversation out loud while still fused UGLY SOBS. Perfect. Amazing. People say they were fighting but no they weren't fighting, just desperate and afraid and confused and horrified.
We Need To Talk

- And RAINBOW QUAAAARRTZ oh myyy gooood. I never thought we'd see Pearl and Rose fuse. I FULLY EXPECTED TO SEE GREG AND ROSE LOL. They teased me. Now I gotta go get myself a rainbow quartz for my collection [it's just clear quartz that's heat treated, but here I was just now trying to make myself feel less biased about treated stones like citrine :V]
- But since they straight up said they never fused it disproves my thought that maybe Steven was conceived through fusion and that's what Greg wanted to talk to them about. Nope! And THAT just makes me wish we would ever get to see their SUPER CUTE FIRST TIME IN BED oh my god. That'd be fucking precious.
- The song in this one was also good. It had to grow on me but yes.
- GREG AND ROSE SOBS. Early Greg and Rose. Quite early.
- Their dynamic is really interesting actually. Rose clearly had to work to learn respect for humans and to see them fully as people. Here she just sees him as sort of a cute pet. This was before things got really serious on both their parts.
- A female character disrespecting and belittling a male character in a romantic relationship whoa. Rare trope. I mean it's not GOOD but also it is good cuz they end up better later
- Greg getting up on top of the amp to kiss Rose oh my goooooOOOOOD. And her face. Fffff.
- I LOVE ALL OF THIS GEM TRASH SOBS LOUDLY this is the year of super sappy romance 4 me and i don't give a single fuck
- Garnet showing her eyes to Greg which is a hint that she knows about fusion because she IS a fusion. Any Gem would get it but LOL NOT GREG HE JUST GOT FREAKED OUT CUZ GARNET HAS THREE EYES!!!
- "EYE!!!! Think I... got it"
- Pearl has two modes: SUPER SMUG, and SUPER FUCKING SALTY. jesus CHRIST. that mic drop was UNNECESSARY LMFAO
- Then Greg dropping the unplugged mic later and immediately picking it back up which was THE MOST STEVEN THING I HAVE EVER SEEN HIM DO
