I cooked today! Made soup with organic mushroom broth, in which I boiled some soybeans [carby so won't do much of those next time but omg did they ever fill out and cook perfectly in that broth], and then fried up tofu! My first time doing this, but I did a pretty good job. Tofu is just about what texture you want, not about making sure it's done, because it's already ok to eat in the package. And oh man, was that super good. Put fresh onion greens in there and some seaweed strips and made some delicious soup. I'm going to have to get more tofu for cooking purposes because that stuff fills you up so well!! A filling carb-free protein that I actually like!! And that isn't meat! I'm so glad.
Not a whole lot else to say about today. Went to save point, was more or less unsuccessful, then went to harris teeter for cough drops and also ended up picking up a few naughty extras [mostly burt's bees products :v i'm such a whitegirl]. Oh and batteries! For all the things that need batteries in my house. Surprisingly numerous for the year 2016. That's what happens when you have a ton of gameboys >_> [I did buy another gameboy yesterday at video game world, the gold and silver Pikachu/Pichu GBC! :3 And the guy at save point said I had gotten a pretty good deal!]
Tiiireeddd but work last night was unbelievably slow and based on check-ins and check-outs, I'd wager it's about the same tonight. So. Brought coffee and stuff to keep me occupied so I don't just fall asleep! Cuz I don't actually like sleeping at work too much! It's anxiety-inducing, because I'm scared to oversleep and get caught with my shift undone at 6 am... no way. Not happening :V
I've been worried about the Lightrayes for the last few weeks. I hadn't seen any activity from them anywhere online for ages. But finally today I found a blog where they were making updates, and I don't think it was just the queue, so hopefully that means they're ok. I care about you guys! I'd love to get to know you better on a personal level. I think our systems have a lot in common, and even what we don't, I just love the way your system seems to work. Just in general. So much love there. [My brain kept saying "A Love Deferred" in reference to this.]
Also I've been listening to the radio station we listened to in high school again, and it's a surreal experience. A lot is different, but a lot is also the same. Weird. But not altogether unpleasant.
