gonna do my best to list things I got :D no shame, i love looking back on these posts every year so here we go.


from "santa" and family:

I feel like that wasn't everything, I'll add more later if it strikes me what it was.

so yeah the highlight of today was obviously the 2DS :DDD i think this is the first christmas where i've gotten a game console and NO games with it! [because i don't need any, it plays all the games i already own for 3DS] it is very very pretty! so cool and the translucent effect is such a throwback to my old purple GBA. the screen is significantly smaller than my 3DSXL but that won't stop me from playing anything except possibly smash bros on it. super nice, I love it. it is gorgeous. the biggest drawback is the mono speaker, i'm very sensitive to sounds and to me the loss in audio quality was immediately apparent, but... eh, that's what headphones are for. and I already own a 3DS anyway so not such a big deal :D i just wanted this because A: super cool throwback special edition, and B: i kinda want to have one of every type of nintendo handheld.

merry christmas! :DD

last night for bb's dad's side of the family's party, my voice was finally accessible again. and today it is about 90% back to normal. i can actually talk like a normal person again, after 5 days or so. i sound raspy and hoarse and my voice blanks out in a few spots but i actually have my normal range back again, minus the tippy top high notes, and don't sound like a goose anymore!! by Saturday night when i go back to work i should be totally fine again. ^w^

today we opened presents and it was fabulous - see my haul post - and a few hours later went to see bb's mom for lunch. she made ham and salad and rice and the most amazing sweet potato casserole. and tomorrow we are having i guess Boxing Day lunch [even tho we are american and don't celebrate Boxing Day] here at the house. gonna be delicious.

and now it's time to watch our traditional christmas youtube videos that bb and i have to dig up and watch each year together x3 later!! have a wonderful holiday!!

MERRCRIMMUS to me!!! Got myself two christmas presents unintentionally [because the computer was my actual christmas gift to myself :P]

1- Little Mac amiibo!!! Yes, the much sought after and highly re-priced by assholes who swoop up and nab the ONE figure on hand per store at a time and then sell them online at inflated costs!! I was about to set something up with someone I follow on instagram who informed me that he had a couple extra ones on hand, but then he showed me that Gamestop's website had just restocked them!! Swooped right in on that shit, considered it the first use of my xmas cash. Absolutely no time to wait on that one, I expect they'll sell out within the day.
Heck yes. Getting Little Mac for $17 shipped and not $45+ like I might have had to do. :D That guy was great, he could have not told me but he did. I wouldn't have even thought to check Gamestop's website. I'm going to remember that, what he did for me.

2- Club Nintendo - just registered my new 2DS and a shitload of my games that I hadn't registered, and got a reward - a game case! Nothing special, but it was free and from what I've seen these things are pretty special after they're no longer produced seeing as you can only get them through club nintendo, which not everybody knows about! This one is going to have Zelda covers and I think also Mario covers? Not sure, but it's gonna be way cool.

So now multiple things are coming to me in the mail and I only paid for one of them ^w^!! One of them being Little Mac OMG and I didn't even have to go through a middle man or reseller!!! He's going to be even more of a treasure to me now, since I managed to get one retail price! I will definitely not make the mistake of not pre-ordering for Charizard. Might even get Bowser on pre-order too, we'll see. :>
