day 3 of no voice. it was starting to heal last night before I left for work, i had regained some notes of my actual voice, they were there, if raspy. work last night was hellish and i got forced to do a lot more talking and verbal order-taking than i should have, which of course wrecked my voice. when i woke up today i had absolutely no voice at all. it has gotten better since then, but not much. i'm back to "goose honk" level. which thankfully signifies that the awful work shift last night only set me back about a day in healing my voice. which of course means i may very well still be voiceless come xmas. sigh.

the grandmother and brother are BOTH here. i think they will be here until the new year. gotta love the holidays.

i have wrapped my presents and put them under the tree. it's good. tomorrow is christmas eve and we will open some presents, then in the morning we will open even MORE presents, probably the best ones, and then eat a huge delicious meal. @u@ i love [the secular aspect of] christmas.

not much to say. quiet peaceful day. bb is asleep on the bed 'watching' game grumps.
